Large, unpollinated female pumpkin

I've got what I think is an unusually large, unpollinated female pumpkin growing in my patch, the flower looks like it will open tomorrow morning. Compared to the dozen that have been pollinated so far, this fruit is at least 3 times the size of them. I'm used to having golfball size female pumpkins prior to pollination. So I'm curious and amused with what my happen with this one. I've planted connecticut field pumpkins for jack-o-lanterns.

I had a similar thing happen with one of my squash. Not sure what cause these parthenocarpic fruit but in my case it ripened but it was misshapen because there were no mature seeds to swell the seed cavity. Cool picture!

If it were mine, I'd try to make sure that particular flower got pollinated to see if I got an extra large pumpkin. Generally, the larger at bloom time, the larger at harvest time. So... anything to report on how it turned out?
