I was going to post asking why 2 plants that should be 8-ball zucchini have very different leaves. I just realized as I was zoning out this morning at work that one plant may very well be a sweet mama hybrid kabocha. It is the one I moved because it was too close to my white scallops.

thought this was 8-ball, too, but the leaves are so different...it opened this morning and there were no boy flowers on the plant, so I pollinated it with a white scallop, not realizing that it probably won't take...

so...do you all think this second plant is some other ball summer squash, or is it a winter squash?
