I am curious as to the species of grass I found locally in low, stream-side bottom area (Southern Ontario). It grows to easily 2m with fan shaped flower plumes rising another .5m not yet ripe at this time. Leaves cascade like dense miscanthus clumps but they are up to 2.5+cm wide with a silver line down the central vein. Looks very similar to some of the domesticated varieties of nursery stock but more breathtaking. Could anyone help me?
