Can't tell from these pics. (You can set the size of your pics in Photobucket. Top right corner of the album, select "Account Options." Then look for "Max Picture Size" and select the size you wish.)

A few grasses have a white strip down the middle of the leaf, most commonly Miscanthus sinensis and Saccharum ravennae. Post a larger pic when it's in full bloom.

When whould I expect them to be in full bloom?
and maybe it is only about 3 or 4 foot. LOL

The pics look the same size to me. Changing that selection in Photobucket doesn't change pics that are already stored there. You have to delete them and upload again.

You can just see a couple of plumes on the second pic. A closeup of a plume would help ID the plant. It looks like it's just starting to bloom, so give it a few weeks. If it's Miscanthus, the plumes will sit up a foot or two from the foliage. If it's Saccharum, they'll be several feet above the foliage.

My guess would be a Pennisetum, or fountain grass, in the layman vernacular. Not sure of the size though so I couldn't venture a guess at the clutivar.

I don't think it's Pennisetum. I have 3 different varieties of perennial Pennisetum, and none of them have a white mid-vein stripe. The plume is also wrong for Pennisetum.
