Yellow Leaf Domino - Pumpkin Pics - Why!

Very first time growing pumpkins with success (until last week)...very first time 3 months have been over 85 degrees all summer!
Pumpkin grew fast..first picture is August 4th.. 2nd picture is August 6th...3rd is today, 4th, 5th & 6th pictures is what I need help with...leaves are turning yellow fast and catching up to where pumpkin is...and take a look at the stem...how did the pumpkin grow with the stem practically rotted out>?>
What can I do to help? Fertilizer?
