Is it in the shade/sun? I tend not to have volunteers do as well as intentional plantings,usually they get a later start. How many pumpkins? Only get a few pumpkins per vine.

pinch off the tips of the vines and they will quit growing. also they will concentrate on pumpkins.

The vine is mostly in the sun. There is one good size pumpkin and several others that are new.
