I am a poster below who had very late starting pumpkins. (my females would not open). Now I have a pumpkin around 20" around that and I discovered a small gauge -- likely a bite in the side. will it rot now? is there any way to patch it with tape or something (i know that sounds stupid) to save it until it turns orange? is there anything else I can do?
