I haven't grown this particular type of gourd. But I will tell you that it is best not to cut off fruit or tinker with the vine. Let it go as it will.

Really, at this stage of the game, there is nothing you can do to speed maturity.

Let the fruit stay on the vine as long as possible. I suspect it won't actually dry and hollow out until sometime after frost, when you have brought the fruit indoors. Still, it is best to leave it on the vine as long as possible.

A hard freeze could damage the gourds, if they are not already quite dry. So, when there is a real danger of frost, you would do best to bring them inside.
