The ground hogs laid waste to my gourd patch, eating most of leaves off the vines. I have 2 surviving gourds, and have managed to live trap 4 ground hogs. Now the leaves are coming back, putting out 9 new gourds (which will likely not make it to maturity this season). I now have swarms, and I mean swarms, of cucumber beetles. Should I try aggressively to get rid of them-- I mean are they liekly to be a problem next year? They can't hurt too much this year.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
