Oh dear they do look a mess,but being grasses with intercalary meristems they should bounce back.

Ugh! That's awful! It hit 80 (and humid) here today, and as I was working in the garden, I was thinking how nice it'll be when cool weather gets here, but that's a little much.

Hot & dry here too but, they are forcasting much cooler weather in the next couple of days - I sure hope it is nothing like what you got. We still have peppers and tomatoes in the garden.

Lets hope your grasses all pop-up in a day or two.

The grasses have recovered quite nicely, thank goodness. Giganteus doesn't look as good as it once did. What I find odd about this plant is that last year the plumes were dark red and this year they are a beige color. In fact, last year was the only year the plumes were red. I wonder what caused that.
