Ornamental Grass

Newbie - Can you help identify this grass

I am new to the world of ornamental grasses, and I fell in love with the ones pictured below. These pics were taken in front of a Marriott hotel in Maryland. I know that the red grass is Japanese blood grass, but am having difficulty identifying the OG behind it.

That looks like Tripsacum dactyloides to me at first guess...but only a guess. How about a closer picture? That just looks like any old grass to me - plus you mentioned Maryland. :)

I formerly posted as jondmvn... I think maybe I am closer to zone 7b now, but the sources say I am zone 8.

Has pezhead posted here lately?

Almost looks like plain old cogon grass to me, but its a bit cold there for it and I hope its not, since its highly invasive.

Close-up would help.
