Yes. There is a chance. I am not so well versed on gourds. But I know that squash seed can easily last ten years. If you have enough you might do a germination test in a damp paper towel, inside a plastic bag. If not, then, well, I'd be ready with plan "B" in order not to loose out a crop next year. It depends how important it is to you, that you get a crop.

It depends also on what type of "gourd" that you have. The larger seeds stay viable longer. But gourd is applied to multiple species of plants. I concur with George that a germination test is advisable. Another consideration is the rarity of the "gourd". If it is one that is readily available, new seeds may cause less anxiety.
