I'm attempting to harvest some seeds from my bushel gourds. I thought I was supposed to let them dry in the gourd, then harvest when the gourd was dry. I'm enountering a couple of possible problems. The gourd was still slightly damp when I drilled a hole in it. The seeds are damp, and brown. Are they viable? If so, what do I do to finish drying them? I have a gourd that's barely begun drying. Should I sacrifice one and harvest the seeds that way?
