On Saturday, May 5th, the Bonne Terre Garden Fair will be held at Southdown Plantation in Houma, LA. We will have vendors selling plants and supplies, a plant disease clinic, a soil test station, a garden themed art show, hands-on kids activities and expert speakers and demonstrations.

The speakers include: Olga Clifton, hummingbird expert; Dr. Neil Odenwald, landscape architect from LSU; Joe Baucum, Palm expert; Dr. Hallie Dozier, invasive species expert from LSU; and Dan Gill, Associate Professor of Consumer Horticulture at LSU.

Demonstrations are on: The Irreplaceable in the Landscape (Trees); Vegetables; Trees for Louisiana; Edible Plants; Orchids; Butterflies; Twig Wizardry and Propagation.

Gates open at 8:30am and admission fee is $3.00; children under 12, free.
