Hello, I haven't grown that variety myself. But I thought I would mention when collecting seeds, do not grow more than one variety or they will cross pollinate. The seeds you plant next season could possibly be a mix and not the true form.

I tried and tried last year to find them. Could not find them anywhere. I would hate to tell you to give up, but that's what I had to do. (I was told Bit-O-Honey is extinct).

Yes, I learned about Bit O'Honey through the SSE '06 yearbook as well as Amy Goldman's book. This is my first year in SSE and I am not a listed member yet either. I hope to list next year, however. I have a small garden and limited space for one variety of melon.

Bit O'Honey is listed in the 2006 Yearbook as M.R not L.Q.
