Will it grow back?

I am so sad, we had severe weather (tornado) here this past weekend and my beautiful bearclaw hellebore snapped. It snapped right at the base. I guess it was top heavy from all the blooms. I was so looking ofrward to all those seeds and new ones sprouting up!

I actually have a few questions I am hoping someone can help me with. First is I wonder if it will grow back. It snapped right at the base of the stem just at the ground. So they entire plant was just laying on it's side.

It is full of flowers that have the seeds forming inside those little pods so I am guessing they will be gone now. I was actually conetmplating trying to plant some and see what happens...is this a futile effort?

Since this was the "parent" plant of a few others that have onviosuly seeded these last few years around it will they continue to grow? This was the only one that flowered this year and since I am new to the house have no idea how old it is or how old the little ones growing near it are. But no other one flowered this year.

Thanks so much. I am hoping some of the other plants flourish over the next few years so I don't lose it entirely. It would be nice if it grew back too! Keeping my fingers crossed. :)
