Hi, I have had Heuchera plants (Mt. St. Helens) for well over ten years. Although the plants create numerous shoots with many buds, the buds never open. I have separated them often, placed the new plants in various environments with varying sun/shade to no avail. Some times I fertilize; sometimes not. The plants always look healthy, no matter where they are placed, but no blooms. On one occasion, several years ago, one plant produced a small new plant on its own and that small plant bloomed. The only thing I suspect is possibly the PH as I've read the soil should be slightly alkaline and my soil readings are 6.5 to 6.8 which is slightly acidic. I am desperate to make these plant bloom.
