Mine have grown tremendously this year. Last year I dug out at the time my single AM and split it into three. It naturally split, each with some roots, so it made growing the new pieces easy, but the plant was in sorry shape. Potted the three up and grew them in pots over much of the summer and planted them in their new home, once I finally got my boyfriend to help me get the new bed tilled and amended, and they've shot up like weeds. In fact, nearly all of my heucheras in this new bed are doing really well. I never knew some of them could grow so big. So I moved the others I have that aren't doing so hot into this bed and they are starting to recover. I really should go outside and take some photos.

Thanks for the pic, Karen. I see you are much further along this year than I expected compared to me. The leaves on mine are still growing and flower stalks are weeks away here.

AM has been the best do-er for me--survives all kinds of New England winters with no protection. I have eight of them in a circular garden bed and they are so trouble-free, except for the deer that found them last fall.
