Tarahumara Black & Blue

I have been given a hand full of Tarahumara Black & Blue beans and I am looking forward to growing them out next year. Could only google up one bit of info on them (a listing for sale with no other information)and have a few questions for anyone who may know the answers.

1. Bush, Half Runner or Pole?

2. Green, Shelly or Dry? Which are they usually used for by the Tarahumara?

3. I have only two blue beans the rest are black. Will the colors even up in the grow-out? Or will I need to balance the mix myself?

You might want to check with Native Seeds/SEARCH (www.nativeseed.org), which specializes in crop plants of the southwestern indigenous people.

My catalog is a couple of years old, and doesn't list it under that name. But they do have 12 pole beans listed as being from the Tarahumara.

Even if they do not have them in stock, they can probably answer your questions about them.

No, they were uninterested in helping. I had tried that before posting, and am looking for info from someone who had some experience with these beans.
