Some Orange (pics)

My row in the front yard of Spellbinder and Rocket City is in full bloom --

These are actually four clumps with two RC in the middle and a Spellbinder at each end.

Spellbinder an oldie but goodie.

ROCKET CITY in the sun.

ROCKET CITY in the shade.

This kinda odd looking daylily is ECCENTRICITY. It may be eccentric but I like it. It looks like an oldie but its new here as I only planted it last year.

Melanie Masons TIGER ON STILTS is pretty orange also.

Another hot orange. This is one of those daylilies in the late blooming garden. This one is Flamboyant Promise. I sure do hope all these lates actually do bloom late next year!

AZTEC BEAUTY. The original scapes are about bloomed out but the rebloom scapes should be starting up any time now.

CONDILLA in the sun.

CONDILLA in the shade.

I enjoyed all your bright oranges and yellows...especially that Aztec Beauty...that's a beauty.

Aztec Beauty really is a beauty, nice color. You have a nice assortment of hot orange. Everyone raves on RC, I'll have to add that one some time.

    Rita,
If I hadn't already changed my mind about not liking orange and yellow daylilies, you're pictures would have done it. I absolutely LOVE all of these. They are all gorgeous. Thanks for sharing such bright and lovely blooms.

You know I have really come to appreciate oranges. Your AB is wonderful. I had seen you all post pics and talk about South Seas, and I thought "yeah, yeah". Then I saw South Seas in person this summer and had to have it. It is my "this summer" favorite. Anyone who comes to visit goes to it first. Thanks,

I always liked Orange. I have lots of orange roses too and just love the color in the garden. Rocket City has been in my garden for years and was a very favorite daylily until I got the crazies last year and bought so many more. No matter as I still like Rocket City and its putting on quite the show blooming now in my front yard.

Rita, I have always liked orange but not always yellow. This year has changed my mind about some yellows. Your orange dls are bight as the morning sunshine.. Very pretty...Ellie

Rocket City was always and still is one of my favorite oranges - what a great classic!

    Your Condilla is exceptionally beautiful!
Mine is much more gold colored.

    Great photography!

Love AZTEC BEAUTY - what a color combination on that one! And Tiger on Stilts looks like it is heavly diamond dusted...love that on a daylily!

FLAMBOYANT PROMISE just looked completely different today than it did on Tuesday.

And I still can not get CONDILLA to look as golden as she does in person!

Spellbinder and Rocket City are just timeless daylilies. I have those two, and visitors always comment on them. I don't have Aztec Beauty, but wonder why after seeing your photos of it. Thanks for sharing your oranges!

And for those of you that need some further incentive to try AZTEC BEAUTY. While the original scapes are all bloomed out, here it is today, the first flower open on the instant rebloom scape-

This is the first time I have REBLOOM in my garden, heee, heee, heee. (Gloating)

As usual your pics are wonderful! I think that it was a post something like this that made me go crazy on the oranges last fall... and now you are making me think about the golds! I can tell that Spellbinder and Condilla would just glow in the garden, and I find that I am missing that color in my garden for some reason.

Hmm.. adding to the list I wasn't going to have this year!

I love looking at your photos.. you do such a good job!

    Thanks!

Thank you, for the compliment :-))

Those four clumps pictured in the top picture of SPELLBINDER and ROCKET CITY are fortunately still going strong because very little else is. Well, the old ones like the LIME FROST and BOLD TIGER combo in the front yard are going strong too but walking the garden the rest of the blooms are very few.
