Hawaiian taro ID

I acquired this taro plant the other day. The person I got it from said it was a Hawaiian taro  she evidentially got it from Hawaii. It does not look like the taro grown from the local grocers. I have read there are several different types of taro grown in Hawaii. Anyone know the botanic name of this plant?
