I've planted mint here a few times, but it always gets overrun with weeds--and that's saying something. Next time, I'll keep it in a pot.

We have some mint in some shady moist areas and it's real happy there. If you get to the Big Island, you can have some starts.

Hey, how about the grocery store? Mint can be started by just putting a stem of it in water. Wait for roots, then plant. Or just pick off all but the last few leaves from a stem of mint and then plant that with just the leaves sticking out. I think one of our mints came from a Thai restaurant and it was served as part of the meal.
