Bye For Now...

19 years ago

I'm just about ready to leave for San Diego tomorrow, for my daughter's wedding. I'm really looking forward to this trip and hope to take lots of photos (besides the wedding photos) of plants and gardens in the area. We won't be going to the Flower Fields this trip, as they aren't open to the public at this time of year, so no gorgeous ranunculus photos. But we will be going to a nature center, and to the desert, as well as La Jolla, so we'll see what's blooming.

I have a friend who is house-sitting for us to take care of the animals and my yard while we are away. I hope that most everything makes it! Now that we have started to get some rain, it should help.

You guys have fun in your gardens while I'm away, and I'll chat with you all when I return, at which time I'll have a SON-In-LAW! (Something I was thinking might never happen, given my daughter's reluctance to settle down.) And BTW, they are going to Fiji on their honeymoon, so I will possibly have some fantastic photos to share from there, too. They are doing some hiking and kayaking down jungle rivers, and hopefully will take some pictures of ferns, foliage, and waterfalls.

See you in a week! (Okay, I'll probably stop back by another dozen or so times before I'm actually out of the door tomorrow, but since I'll be rushed, figured I'd say goodbye now.)
