My understanding is:
If you can get any tomatoes (that's the problem) they are safe to eat.
If you can get any seeds they will not have the virus in them, it just kills the plant.
That's what I remember but your county extension agent can probably tell you more.
Sorry you have it. It affects some tomato plants in my garden, just not all of them.

Maria, mmm...right now I'm forgetting everything I ever learned about viruses! I know viruses can remain in the soil and if you re-plant in the same area the following season, they can be re-infected. Hopefully Treefrog and Tony (the kings of Florida tomatos!!!) will be along soon to give you an informed answer. :)
