If the leaves are totally brown and dead and shrived up I just pull them. If you mean brown tips on leaves I just ignore that but you can trim the leaves and brown off if you want it too look neater. Either way the daylilies will grow lots of new folliage now that the rains have come to our area.

I try to keep my dead leaves picked up as much as possible. You don't have to, but it sure looks better and it seems to encourage more growth and less pests if you keep them removed.

We got rain last week too. It was such a blessing. It's amazing how much better my plants look after the rain. Even when I water them daylily, rain just has more positive effect than any water I add.

Oh yes, Our high temp today was about 88. That's down from 105 a week ago. Wonderful day!!!!

Same as the others, I just pull off the brown in order to keep the daylilies looking nice. A few that were really bad looking got 'haircuts', and are growing fresh foliage.
