Storage/Workspace only Basement Redo

We have a very small basement, used primarily for storage. Pulled up the gross carpet, cleaned the concrete, painted the walls and the floor. Added a small workbench and a "Wall Connect" tool panel. And got rid of tons of "junk."

I love the work you did. Great green color.

I'm just guessing here, but is your home 1950-60's era? How did you clean the concrete? I need to do this to my basement, but I am afraid we have asbestos linoleum-like tiles. Thanks in advance. Nice job!

Thanks, actually the house is circa 1935!! A dig out basement. There had been asbestos tile, but it was removed by the previous owner. I scrubbed the floor, by hand, for about 6 hours, after sweeping and vacuuming. I used warm water, a stiff scrub brush and TSP...remopped 2x, and used concrete primer paint and then floor paint. All California low-odor.

A built in storage area under the stairs would be great. Search storage stairs there are a ton of ideas.
