Its budding!

I bought this plant last spring. It hangs in a 2nd floor west facing window and seems perfectly matched to my schedule of benign neglect.I watered it once a week w/ monthly fertilizer (half strength) every 2nd watering till it went dormant for the winter. Then every 3 weeks, no fertilizer. The hang tag says hoya brevialta, but the buds don't seem right. It started growing & set buds in mid January.

When should I start fertilizing? (Last month?)And is the tag correct? If not what is this?

These Florettes have been opening at a glacial pace for about 6 weeks

My D. ovata is blooming, too. It's my favorite of all the Dischidias for it's patterned leaves. The common name is appropriately "Watermelon Dischidia." There are a few clones of it with leaves ranging from small to large, some very succulent others quite a bit less so. Is yours an Exotic Angel plant?

Denise - Yes it is an exotic Angel.
gennykins - The D. ovata is in a pot ceramic from Target (10 years ago) D. ruscifoliain the background is in a plastic lined twig basket from Bachman's on Lyndale.

We forgot to answer your question about fertilizer. You can fertilize all year if you want but make it weaker in the winter and especially if your plant does not get good light. As long as the plant is growing it can benefit from a weak fertilizer solution.
