The best way to get Hoyas is to go in on the group order from David Liddle. You can also get cuttings from Paul Shirley Succulents in the Netherlands.

The other Canadian source for Hoyas is Flora Exotica in Quebec. I have never ordered from them so I can't say anything about quality but the prices are a little high for plants but they do sell cuttings as well I believe.
Also try Hoyas.ca because there is an exchange area.
Walmart and the Home Depot and Rona also sell Hoyas from time to time.

I've ordered from Flora Exotica a couple of times but not in the last 2 years. I only ordered cuttings for the reason that Mike gave. I've heard that now you have to order a minimum of $50 worth. I was pretty happy with what I got but they don't have much selection. I think they get some from Thailand every year and on their website it says you can put requests in. The last time I ordered I asked for a list of the cuttings they had available. They sent me a list. I picked a bunch but then got an email with a much reduced list saying this was all that was available. I did get some nice ones for only $5 though, like archboldiana c Norman, vitellinoides, aff. finlaysonii but the more desirable ones tend to be out of stock. Also, the names are not too reliable. I got australis ssp. rupicola but there's no way that's what it is. I suspect it's ssp. sanae or oramicola. Also they still call cembra odorata and DS-70 tsangii.

I ordered from Flora Exotica once and will NEVER order from them again. Their idea of a "full 6" pot" was two sad little barely rooted cuttings in a pot full of soggy crap soil. Both cuttings together only had 3 leaves and they were already dying when i got them. I emailed him to ask about it and he told me to try an easier species next time. I was pretty upset considering I have 35 different kinds of hoyas and his was the only one i have ever lost.

Well that is good to know. Thank you. Looks like we have a long way to go in Canada as far as supplying us with the hoyas we want. I too was very pleased with my Hoya that I ordered from Tom last year. I have a couple more on order and hope that goes well.

Ewelina runs Hoyas.ca. I have never traded or purchased Hoyas from her but she usually has a nice selection available. Her plants are grown in semi hydroponics using expanded clay as a potting media.
