Hoya benguetensis

Here is my new benguetensis:

I also got a sp. Square leaf, but it's looking rather dehydrated at the moment. I've got it in a bag for now to see if I can get it to recover.

Just for fun, here is sp. Tanna Island, which grows like mad for me.

Wayetti buds:

Not a hoya, but an AV, Witch Doctor, with wayetti in the background:

And, here's linearis, on the right. You can see how long it's gotten; I didn't even get all of it in the pic. It is growing in Hydroton.

Quinn, that's a very nice Hoya. I've been looking at that for a while also. Like you, space is becoming a real issue. I will just have to enjoy yours,lol...

Your Tanna Island is huge, it seems very happy. The rest of your plants are very nice also.

Looking forward to a picture of Sp. square, I'm sure it will perk right up after being in a bag with all that humidity.

I've been wanting it for a while, but only Asiatica seemed to have it. Then they ran out, and I could only potentially get it from overseas, which I wasn't prepared to do at the time. Now it seems to be showing up locally more frequently, so I got it. I wasn't even thinking about the leaf size, whoops. They look like they will be huge. Ah well...

Tanna Island has grown exceptionally well for me. It's especially nice, because var. macrophylla and subcalva have been doing rather poorly, for some reason. They were doing great before the winter, but now they just won't grow, and continue to slowly get yellow leaves and drop them. They are going backwards, and I don't know what to do about them. I have a second var. macrophylla now, in case this one doesn't make it, and I have subcalva on a waiting list. It is frustrating though.

Nice plants! Your sp Thanna Island looks really happy. I have read that this one can be hard to bloom so I have yet to get it but the bloom size compared to the leaves makes this one a real beauty. How long did it take for your plant to get that big?

Try letting your macrophylla dry out a bit between waterings. I know my more succulent Hoyas don't like to be moist all the time. Other than that I don't know what to suggest but I hope you can save your plants.

I have sp Square and it's leaves are not big....Photo's are often done in close-up to show details and can distort the actual size. Can almost be said to be a compact plant....almost. Found mine to be a little on the slow grower side too. I think you will be quite delighted with it however.

Sorry, I meant benguetensis looks like it will be a large leaved guy. I just got Square leaf and it seems to be rehydrating, thankfully. I think that one will be a manageable size. I'll squeeze benguetensis in somewhere. I love how substantial its leaves are. I do think I need a heavy duty trellis for that one.

Tanna Island grew very fast. This was Tanna Island around late August of last year. It's the plant on the left:

I think you'll all figure it out, but I meant it's the plant on the UPPER left. Bottom left is a sinningia that decided it hated me. I did see it bloom a few times before it croaked though.
