Older seed viability?

I have a neighbor that had a small seed cache that he says is approximately 2 years old. He said he will never get around to planting them and gave them to me to try. I was wondering what the shelf life of most seeds would be and if they might still germinate? Most of all of the seeds are from trees and a very are from shrubs. He says they were kept in a drawer in his desk at room temperature in sealed plastic ziploc type bags.

The seeds are as follows: 20 Cassia Javanica (Apple Blossom Cassia), 8 Chorisia Speciosa (Silk Floss), 50 Tecoma Stans (Yellow Elder), 20 Telopea Waratah (New South Wales Waratah) 100 Jacaranda, 10 Dwarf Poinciana, 5 Tipuana Tipu, 100 Yellow Candlebush (Cassia Alata), 10 Collvilles Glory aka. Australian Poinciana (Collvillea Racemosa), 30 Peltophorum dubium (Yellow Poinciana), 15 Koelreuteria Bipinnate (Copperpod), 5 Spathodea Campanulata (African Tulip Tree), 5 Pink Orchid Tree (Bauhinia Monandra)

Do you think most of these seeds will germinate or are some of them simply too old?
