It is fall again (or at least they say it is. Can't tell from the weather). So, the wife and I are going prepare more beds for our fall plantings.

We have a 60' long driveway. The plan in to trellis grapes on one side of the driveway, trellis blackberries on the other. Both of those beds will be 3'X60' raised beds made of 2X8 PT lumber (painted white) and filled with mushroom compost and sand..

Our third bed will be a 50X3 bed constructed in teh same way to host our blueberry bushes. This one will be a little more tricky since blueberries love acid. The mix will still be mushroom compost and sand. But I will add in sulfur and a lot of pine bark/straw.

Any advice before I dive into this project. Especially concerning the soil mix for the blueberries?!?
