My favourite is the third picture with the fantastic graining. You need something with pizzazz so your quiet cabinets and floor have something to contrast with.

May I make a suggestion, however? It looks like the ends of your island are painted and the colour of the paint is fighting with the undertones of your cabinets and floor. You need a colour more like Sherwin Williams SW7688 SUNDEW. This paint colour may not be perfect, but it's got a soft orangey undertone and gives you a direction to go in. See if you can borrow a fan deck from the paint store and bring it in the room and select a colour that blends better with the existing colours you have.

The third slab with the grays and caramel swirls would be amazing as an island slab although I'm not sure how I feel about using the same for the perimeter counters. It's a real showstopper!

I love fusion - it is such a focal point for an island and so few people use it. I assume the sink will be changed out to an undermount and would be stainless so that it does not fight with the granite.

Thanks for all the input. Yes, we will change out the sink for a stainless, single-bowl, undermount (and obviously new faucet.) Also, once we settle on a slab for the island, we can start thinking about back splash material.

Also agreed that a whole kitchen of Fusion would be a bit much. We will keep the white Corian surround counters. The Corian has been a fantastic surface for us.

I thought that the paint suggestion was really interesting. We currently have the walls painted with Sherwin Williams SW6100 Practical Beige which has a bit more brown to it. The yellow might help a lot.

Also try looking at a slab with a leathered finish...

I love your kitchen., I think with the floor and the backsplash, the copper canyon looks best.

I like the third slab. It has enough contrast to add that "pop" in your kitchen while also having a little gold in it to tie in with the kitchen.
