No, they're not the same & yes, it CAN be confusing. No problem, we were all newbies once.
H. Krimson Princess & Krimson Queen are both variegated forms of H Carnosa. K Queen always has the variegation around the outer edge. Princess always has the varigation (or lighter color or white) on the inner, central portion of the leaves.
NOT SURE about Hoya tricolor, but I think of those as green & white w/ pink highlights that mature to white, sometimes has red stems.
I think the "tricolor" term has been adopted by plant distributors, like the 2 I bought in early Spring. They're not EA plants, but from some other commercial nursery & came marked w/ that term. These are green leaves w/ white edges & some bright pink highlights. (These pink highlights tend to need direct sun to show at their best).

Karen is right that these plants are all different in appearance but they are all varieties of Hoya carnosa. The flowers are slightly different as well and my Hoya carnosa Krimson Princess had slightly larger flowers with longer flower pedicils and a deeper flower colour than my plain green carnosa.
