Today I visited my favorite nursery/garden center--Woldhuis Farms Sunrise Greenhouse in Grant City Illinois-- for a spring fix. I needed to pick up a big bag of perlite and I wanted Hosta Kaleidochrome. Sunrise grows everything in greenhouses so the plants are a couple weeks ahead of those outdoors. They list about 400 hostas and at great prices. The sights and smells of spring were intoxicating. In addition to Kaleidochrome I came away with another Lakeside Dragonfly, The King, Wheee!, Luna Moth, Mouse Trap, Tiny Bubbles, Cuyahoga, Lionheart, and Oze. It's a good thing Sunrise is 1.5 hours from home. I plan to come back next month for some annuals. Who knows what else might jump into the car on that trip?
