Hello,

Last summer was my first experience with hummers, and I'm now ready to jump in head first. I'll be planting some salvia, and my feeders are ready to go. I even bought big pink frisbees to mount over my feeders to catch their attention! (And keep the rain off too!)

But when do I put them up? I don't want to waste my time & effort, but at the same time I want to see those cute little things as soon as possible!!

Also, can anyone suggest an economical way to start a row of salvia black & blue? Do they do well from seed or do you recommend buying baby plants somewhere?
