Dear California,

My Scarlet Monkeyflowere broke dormancy. Anyone have as hummer nectar source. it can't be pollinated by anything else.Since January the ANna's hummingbird couple is a no show.I'm now in Washington state.

I'm not familar with the Scarlet Monkey Flower (Mimulus cardinalis) but did a search & found this link with info & pictures.

Don't know that there's any info there you don't already know but might be worth a look.

I don't have one yet but hope to get one this year for my hummers. Hang in there the rufous hummers are already on the move. There are a quite a few reports in and around Washington state.
