All I have to say is, it would be hard for me to believe that hummingbirds are as stupid as the people doing this stuff.

Maybe if we could slow down their humming, we would hear that they've been singing "Marrakesh Express" all this time! Or they've had so much salvia they just forgot the words...

Well, the scientific answer would be No, because hummingbirds are attracted to the flowers for nectar, and don't feed on the leaves, which is the psychoactive portion of the plant.

Obviously the ones in charge of bringing the bills forward to ban certain things havent delved deeply enough into the salvia divinorum and are trying to label all salvia as mind altering drugs, which is simply stupidity. In the article it says they want to pass a bill covering all salvia, when only the one species might be related to "the weed"

Oh please! Are we going to start outlawing all poisonous, but beautiful or otherwise beneficial, plants just because some idiot thought that it'd be fun to smoke, drink, chew, or otherwise ingest it? Give me a break...
