Im not really one to comment since this is a first for me . IM growing cardinal climbers from seed and was in doubt how I postion them in my yard without going to great expense. I was shown how I should do it with these from someone on the hummingbird forum. Take two 4x4 posts spread 8-10 ' apart with a heavy line attached to eyebolts top to top and bottom to bottom. Attach twine vertical from line to line every 6 inches with a vine planted at each string and you will have a wall of vines and flowers. With 10ft post they need to be sunk deep in ground. I have seen photos of ones from the forum that have them and there are plenty of flowers.

Lary...I'm in the deep south so my suggestions may not work for you...anyway, I love both Carolina Jasmine and Confederate jasmine...the Carolina has a long slender leaf with pretty yellow blooms...I have them growing on a trellis...the confederate variety has a dark green, more round leaf with white blooms...both are really pretty and grow quickly...I, myself, am looking for what I think is a trumpet vine with tubular coral blooms that the hummers love...this may not help you, but thought I would respond anyway...
