I've seen this map. What I don't know is if some of the data points of first sightings are the same as the other hummingbird migration map. I think maybe some are the same, and some aren't.

Notice that there is an ominous absence of new sightings yesterday and today. In that late March warm spell they were moving rapidly forward, but now, wherever they are, they seem hunkered down, struggling to survive these cold temperatures.

I hope "my" birds, wherever they are, will make it through the bad weather and will arrive later in April or early May. I'm worried.

Lanny sends his data to Journey North and people who post to Lanny' Map may also post on Journey North. A lot of times the info can and does overlap. The same thing can go the other way especially where classrooms are involved in tracking the spring migration. They will post on Journey North but not necessarily on Lanny's map. So you end up juggling the data of the 2 sources to try and get a clear picture.
