First sightings are wonderful! My first hummer sighting was March 26th this year. I eagerly await my first registered daylily bloom each year, which was April 5th. Now my husband is waiting to pick his first tomato!

I had a female hummer at window feeder today. I was very close to the window and was able to get a very good look at her. Awesome!

Hummers have been seen all over my area for several days, but the only bird using my hummingbird feeder is an oriole. I thought the bright red bucket I put in the middle of my yard would help catch the hummers' attention, but I'm definitely becoming concerned that I won't see any until late summer when the flowers they like are blooming.

I have a Fuchsia hanging basket near my window feeder. I bought it last year, blooming, and it grew very well, hanging in the shade. It survived the winter. I noticed today it has many buds, so I am anxious to see the blooms. I hope more hummers will visit then.
