I'm in southern alabama. I've never been interested in hummers, but I think I would like to. I hung a feeder yesterday. Probably not much to attract anything. I purchased it frankly because I thought it was pretty. It's not red. It is handblown blue glass with pink (nozzles?). We moved into a house of new construction last year, so I am just beginning to get flowers and stuff planted. (we had nothing). I'm wondering is there is hope for me to get a hummer in my barren backyard with that one blue feeder? When do hummers start in southern alabama? Where could I get a Peek at that migration map you guys keep referreing too. Forgive me if my questions seem to elementary.
