I've heard that you can use a 1:3 ratio to start off with and give them more energy (?) in the begining of the season or when nesting. I've always used the 1:4 though and they never had a problem finding my feeder. Staying at my feeder is another story though. They dissappear once the invasive honeysuckle is in bloom all over the place.

Don't use the 50'/50 mix. It is too strong. I use 3:1 until everything starts to bloom well and then I drop down to 4:1

I'm looking fwd to tomorrow and the possible 80's. I just hope we don't have the bad thunder boomers and hail that usually accompanies these short of pleasures as we expect thunder storms late tomorrow afternoon or early evening.

LOL! Jim I am no expert believe me. But my 'mentors' have 'learned' me well. We have had an awsome week here too so far but it all goes downhill probably by mid-day tomorrow for the rest of the week. But clear sky and another little warm up are due for next week.
