Yes, it is a good hummingbird plant. When I lived in NY, Ruby-throats visit them regularly. Where I live now, I have had Black-chinned, Rufous and Calliope visit the flowers. To me, a great plant to have in the hummer garden, although it does have a relatively short blooming season. In addition, it is really easy to grow and comes back year after year, while not spreading uncontrollably.

I just love these plants. They like lots of water. I have a few in my yard and if I keep them watered I will have blooms all summer :)
