I've long admired the alstromerias a local florist uses in their arrangements, and it is on my list of plants to find a place for in the garden.

Doing some research, I came across some sites that claim that hummingbirds like them, though I have not seen them discussed here. So I'm wondering whether the limited space of my hummingbird area is a good place for them.

Does anyone have any experience with whether hummingbirds are fond of alstromeria? (And which varieties, as the colors range quite a bit.)
