Hi Denise, Congrats on acquiring what sounds like a beautiful Hoya carnosa krimson princess or krimson queen? Maybe you can post a picture for a more definite ID.If you can't post a picture...try googling those two names and see if they match yours. I would grow it in a bright indirect light location(maybe next to a window) the less light it gets the darker the foliage and the more light it gets...less green foliage but most likely more blooms? I would keep it slightly moist(not wet) or let it dry just a little before watering it thoroughly...and fertilize "weakly" when its growing. It can take a couple of hours of early morning sun next to a window...I live in FL and have mine outside under some Oak trees so it gets more sun so the leaves are paler than my inside hoyas...but it does flower for me more often. Enjoy!
