Hummingbird Garden

Male Rufous in Mojave Desert

Hi all. Not a newbie, but I haven't posted on the HB forum for a couple years! Been having fun reading all the other posts and getting back into the forum.

Wanted to share these photos of a male rufous I took in April while visiting 29 Palms, CA. Saw a male black-chinned too, but he wasn't in the mood to be photographed!

What a beaut! I'd love to see some western hummers over here. Would even love to see a mature male rufous. I believe some odds and ends ones (like a green violet ear) have occasionally been spotted in the east. Maybe one day. :-)
