My Sunday morning good weather ritualon,on my deck, cup of coffee and the iPad NY Times in hand. I see a flash by the petunias..Could it be? I haven't seen one in years..it is the elusive hummingbird. I break out the previously unsuccessful hummingbird feeder and mix up a batch of 1 to 4 sugar water and fill er up. Monday Nada last evening around dusk I shout.."there she hovers" and the wife scrambles for her glasses, the dog barks and the kids run to look. All too funny.

Two more visits and I dont think it was the same bird! The first one I saw was a little larger. I hear they often are seen in pairs..

Made my day...will change the water tonight. I assume they will continue to return.
