we some had a hummingbird get into the house. well during the careful catching of the bird we had accidentally , well she pulled against me and the tail feathers where pulled from her body. she flies very good, but im concerned about being in the wild and not being able to catch her protien food source. so im going to get a spacious cage and feed her nectar and fruit flies. but just how long will it take for her to grow back the feathers enough to survive? so any help will be graciously appreciated. i can be reached by phone. i will provide this when or if it is asked for. so help please. i really just love these birds, thanks david
