Amazing that you have so many! How long does it take the hummers to empty that gallon bottle? Last week I took measurements of the sugar water when I filled all my feeders and then I took measurements when I emptied them 3 days later. I figured the usage here was just under a half cup for the three days. Half of it was from one feeder that I hardly see a hummer at, so I am not sure if any of it was evaporation. It was a Yankee droll lf4, so I know there was no dripping going on.

Ken, It takes 3 days to empty, but because of the heat, I'm filling it only 2/3 full. Later when it cools a little, I'll fill it all the way. I have a cluster of 8 feeders near the PVC feeder, and that group gets about 2/3 of the traffic. They're up to 3 quarts/day, and have used 70 lbs of sugar so far.

kimroy, It's a feeder I made using PVC pipe and a 3 liter wine bottle. This is its 3rd year of use, it's about to need a paint job.

When will you be taking orders for this feeder, LOL?!?!?!?! It's very impressive.
