Yes to me it seems they all come out in the rain. I had three at once last night even when I come home I see them feeding at feeder at the front door. Sarah

Harry seems that the hummers put on a good show for you this week-end. They should since you have prepared such a wonderful place for them to feed.

You know just seeing them for a short time makes all the work that we have done worthwhile.

I have been having the same experience. We've had scattered visitors most of the spring, summer and a couple regulars. The past couple days (since my coral honeysuckle has been in rebloom) they have been here constantly. They go between 3 houses in my area and I can see them nomatter where they go. I had one going between my runner bean and honeysuckle then hover about 3 feet away from me staring. I though she was looking at my impatients but then she went back to the honeysuckle and then to about a foot from my face. I just stayed as still as I could because honestly she kind of scared me a little bit. She hovered there for a good 30-40 seconds but it felt like forever.

Then a male came to visit while she was at her favorite (honeysuckle) and he went to the impatients. She didn't like him being that close though so zoomed right past my head to chase him off. I thought we would collide. I was right in the middle of the chase.

I love their visits but this one little female is a little too fearless for my taste.

That is too funny about the cat though. Mine salivate looking at them through the window and make that little chattering sound.
